On the verge of celebrating their one-year anniversary in November this year, Rajesh Suri’s Grand Trunk Road is partnering with luxury gin and vodka brand, Blackwoods, for a sumptuous Gindian Summer collaboration to welcome the new season.
Nestled within East London’s South Woodford, Grand Trunk Road has continued to raise the bar for Indian fine dining in the capital since their 2016 launch. Rajesh Suri, along with Head Chef Dayashankar Sharma, has surprised and impressed with an evolving menu that continues to explore an ancient land peppered with regional dishes and prepared to perfection.
The brand’s gin and vodka will feature as the key ingredient for the restaurant’s Gindian Summer; an initiative featuring new premium cocktails devised exclusively by their resident Mixologist, Saurav Rai, and the Blackwoods team. Temporary additions to the menu will include the Highway Spritz, prepared with Blackwoods Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, Soda and Prosecco, elegantly decorated with Red Currant, and the Afghani Silk, made with Blackwoods Vodka, Cointreau, fresh lime juice and lychee juice
A London-based brand, Blackwoods Gin is comprised of handpicked Shetland botanicals that infuse a subtle and always memorable flavour. Growing for thousands of years, ingredients such as Angelica, Marsh Marigold and Sea Pink are just some of the natural components that sets the brand’s flavour apart; a perfect partner for the intricate delicacies created at Grand Trunk Road.
